I was asked to do a “Christmas Shopping in August” Home show. I was so honored to be included. I was of course hoping for big sales, but mostly excited to see the response from strangers to my products. It was so much fun. I made friends, did some shopping myself, and did sell some shirts.
I recommend this type of home show for anyone. If you have friends who make jewelry, paint, sell clothes, gifts, etc. Find out if they can do this type of thing. There were no set rules and no pressure. It was a nice way to get together casually, get to know people or to catch up with old friends. We did it on a morning when some of the kids were in school. No major catering needs, just serve some coffee and juice, some sweets, and have your vendors come the day before to set up. Piece of cake.
And, really, lots of people got some early Christmas shopping done. I know that I sure like to cross things off on my list!
